Based on the fact that breathing is closely related to the nervous system, it is highly recommended that when a person is suffering from an anxiety attack that they know proper breathing exercises for anxiety. It is known that when a person is suffering from an anxiety that they are likely to take fast breaths that are shallow, and this is why proper breathing exercises should be practiced when you are suffering from an anxiety attack.
If you do not know proper breathing exercises then you can end up hyperventilating. Breathing exercises are not hard to learn and it basically requires that you take deep breaths into your abdominal area and by doing this, the anxious breathing that is brought on by an anxiety attack is reversed.
Do some standing exercises – Stand with your feet, shoulder width apart, ensure that your body is comfortable and that you back is straight. To do his exercise you will need to use your abdominal muscles to expand your stomach, inflating it like a balloon. This position should be held for a few seconds before sucking in your muscles as far in as is possible. While sucking in the muscles, hold for a few minutes. This exercise should be practiced until your body is moving in the same beat as the exercise. Once you have accomplished this, coordinate your breathing to match the movement of your muscles. While doing this exercise, you should inhale through your nose while pushing your stomach out, and exhale through your mouth when sucking in your stomach.
Anxiety is a condition that no one can prevent. By doing the proper breathing exercises for anxiety and knowing how to do them before you have an attack, you will be better able to deal with this situation, and you will be able to get your life back under control.
